During the trial period: 7 days.
Default legal period. Your contract or a collective agreement (CCT) may set longer periods. The legal trial period is 1 month, extendable to 3 months by contract.
Legal notice periods in Switzerland
Unless the contract or a collective agreement provides otherwise, the Code of Obligations sets notice periods: 1 month during the first year of service, 2 months from the 2nd to the 9th year, then 3 months from the 10th year.
Notice takes effect for the end of a month. During the trial period, the notice period is 7 days.
An individual contract or a collective agreement (CCT) may set longer periods. In case of dispute, seek advice from a union or a legal service.
