C permit conditions

EU/EFTA: 5 years uninterrupted residence + proven integration

Third countries: 10 years (5 years for some countries via bilateral agreements)

Proven integration:

  • Local language level A2 oral, A1 written (strengthened in 2019)
  • No dependence on social assistance
  • Clean criminal record
  • Respect for Swiss constitutional values

C permit advantages
