What is a federal certificate / diploma
Federal certificates and federal diplomas are higher vocational education titles, above CFC level but distinct from HES. They certify expertise in a trade.
- Federal certificate (FC): intermediate level, equivalent ~bachelor for some recognition
- Federal diploma (FD) or federal master: higher level, equivalent ~master for some recognition
Validated through a federal exam organised by professional associations with Confederation oversight.
